Super Rugby – The real conclusions from week thirteen

And then the ref said:”Knock on Blue.” and I was like:”Stop it, you’re killing me!” And Berrick was like: “This isn’t funny”

Ok, so I had to wait until midnight on Saturday to get some joy out of a match and I had to revert to soccer to find said joy. Hence my previous post. https://metuysh.wordpress.com/2012/05/21/super-rugby-conclusions-from-week-13-8/

But seriously. Everything have gone wrong for the Bulls on Saturday that could go wrong. Not only did they lose against the Highlanders, but the Crusaders, Sharks and Stormers all picked up victories in their respective matches and the Bulls were leapfrogged at the top by the Stormers, Chiefs and the Brumbies. Super Rugby – Conclusions from week 13

Do you really think I can’t kick for the Bulls?

What a display the Blues put on this Saturday! I’m not talking about the boys from Auckland. The Blues I’m talking about hails from Fulham, London and they play a game that involves almost as much kicking as in the Stormers/Waratahs game.

After a late goal by Meuler in the 82nd minute, it looked like the end of the road for Chelsea, but Drogba struck in the 88th minute and also scored the winning penalty in shootout. Being a Juve fan in general and Man Utd fan in the Primiership, I wouldn’t normally support Chelsea, but theirs is a fairy tale that had to have a happy ending.

And that’s it for my conclusions for week 13 of the Super 15.

Cheers!!!

It was a pleasure to handle a match involving schoolboys willing to play the game and who still harbors those principles Uysh talked about last week. Read the rest of this entry »

Relax, we’re in good hands

Don’t worry, just trust me.

The Bulls’ performance against the Rebels wasn’t perfect, but it got the job done. It was clear from the get go that the Bulls targeted this match as a potential five pointer and they threw caution to the wind and went for glory. Instead of bullying the Rebels to submission, they went all Aussie on them tried to run them off the park. Unfortunately, the Rebels had the same plan and they were in no mood to just sit back and tackle for the whole eighty minutes. Read the rest of this entry »
